The Uncertainty Of Gender
For a year or so, my eldest child came to live with me in the woods while transitioning her gender. During her stay, she noted the phenomena of figures between the trees. Many of them became like bogeymen in her psyche. We fought her troubling entities side by side. After that time, I began to paint figuratively to work through, my former images of womanhood and especially motherhood that had evolved into richer archetypes.
